Welcome to Maud Ferguson Memory Care Neighborhood!
Maud Ferguson Neighborhood is a Memory Care Community specializing in care for residents who have advanced dementia or Alzheimer’s. We understand the importance of providing a safe, comfortable and secure environment for individuals who have special memory care needs. Located adjacent to the The Villages of Murfreesboro, our unique building design offers residents and their families the knowledge that every step has been taken to ensure that each resident’s needs are met in a loving and dignified manner.
The Maud Ferguson Neighborhood offers unique features such as: an intimate residential setting, a secure building for the physical safety of our residents, a night-time motion activated emergency call system, and a full range of activities to promote physical and mental mobility of each resident.
This Neighborhood is named after Maud Ferguson. Maud Ferguson was a Red Cross public health nurse whose idea of building the Rutherford County Health Department with the Commonwealth Fund was the first of its kind. The Health Department succeeded in dramatically reducing death rates among mothers and infants. Many women from the country and abroad received nursing training at the Health Department.
